Celsius to Fahrenheit
°F = (°C × 9/5) + 32
Example: 20 °C = (20 × 1.8) + 32 = 68 °F

Length and weight conversions use multiplication factors. Temperature also needs an offset because Celsius, Fahrenheit, and Kelvin place zero at different points.
°F = (°C × 9/5) + 32
Example: 20 °C = (20 × 1.8) + 32 = 68 °F
°C = (°F − 32) × 5/9
Example: 98.6 °F = (98.6 − 32) × 5/9 = 37 °C
K = °C + 273.15
Example: 20 °C = 293.15 K
°C = K − 273.15
Example: 300 K = 26.85 °C
Two useful checkpoints are that −40 is the one temperature where Celsius and Fahrenheit have the same numerical value, and absolute zero is −273.15 °C or −459.67 °F. The converter rejects temperatures below absolute zero.
Metric length and weight units use powers of ten. The following definitions are the exact factors used for the imperial and US customary units available in ToolRino.
ToolRino displays up to 12 significant digits. Exact terminating results that fit within that limit remain visible—for example, 5 miles is 8.04672 kilometers. Results with more digits are rounded for readability. For engineering, scientific, or legal work with a specified precision, keep the required precision through your calculation and round only the final result.
Open the Unit Converter →HEX, RGB, and HSL can describe the same opaque sRGB color. Changing notation does not change its appearance, improve contrast, or increase vibrancy. ToolRino accepts a three- or six-digit HEX value and produces its RGB and rounded HSL equivalents.
A six-digit HEX color contains three pairs of hexadecimal digits: #RRGGBB. Each pair represents a value from 00 to FF in base 16, equivalent to 0 through 255 in decimal, in red, green, then blue order.
#FF6B35 splits into FF, 6B, and 35. Those values are 255 red, 107 green, and 53 blue, producing rgb(255, 107, 53). Three-digit shorthand doubles each digit, so #ABC expands to #AABBCC.
HSL expresses a color as hue, saturation, and lightness. Hue is a position on the color wheel from 0 to 359 degrees: red begins at 0, green at 120, and blue at 240. Saturation describes color intensity from 0% to 100%; zero produces gray. Lightness ranges from black at 0% to white at 100%, with the strongest form of a hue typically around 50%.
HSL is convenient when building a palette because you can adjust lightness or saturation independently. This converter rounds HSL components to whole numbers, so the displayed HSL value can convert back to slightly different RGB channel values. Keep the six-digit HEX or RGB result when exact channel values matter.
Open the Color Converter →Multiply the Celsius value by 9/5, then add 32. For example, 20 °C becomes (20 × 1.8) + 32, which is 68 °F.
Yes. The international inch is defined as exactly 2.54 centimeters. The international avoirdupois pound is also defined as exactly 0.45359237 kilograms.
They have the same numerical value at −40 degrees: −40 °C equals −40 °F.
For the opaque sRGB colors supported here, they are two ways to write the same channel values. HEX uses base-16 pairs and RGB uses decimal values from 0 to 255. #FF6B35 and rgb(255, 107, 53) describe the same color.
It is shorthand. Each digit is doubled to create the six-digit value, so #ABC expands to #AABBCC.
HSL can be easier to adjust by hand because hue, saturation, and lightness are separate values. This converter rounds HSL values to whole numbers, so use six-digit HEX or RGB when exact channel values matter.
No. Both converters run in your browser using JavaScript. ToolRino does not transmit, log, or store the values you enter in these converters.
